Fashion Artist
Chiaki Shimizu works as a professional costume designer, fashion designer and contemporary artist.
She began her career as a fashion designer and now works as a contemporary artist, costume designer and fashion designer, as well. With garments as her medium, she researches philosophical and historical aspects to express her themes more broadly, and creates site-specific installations using a variety of media, including photography and video. She also collaborates with many artists to explore the various possibilities of garments.
