While studying at the Department of Design at Tokyo University of the Arts, Chiaki was influenced by many contemporary artists, including Damien Hirst, Gerhard Richter and Takashi Murakami.
Using the medium of clothing, her work focuses on a number of social issues, such as women’s social advancement and environmental problems.
